Loose teeth, bleeding gums and difficulty eating could be signs of dental disease.
At Guildford Animal Hospital we are passionate about dental care. In our pets, dental disease can lead to infection of the teeth and gums and can lead to bacteria being seeded in to the liver and kidneys which can cause serious systemic disease as our pets age.
Many people do not enjoy going to the dentist…but at least they stay still (we hope)! To have a complete, professional cleaning pets require anesthesia. Any dental cleaning done without anesthesia is merely cosmetic as it cannot eliminate disease under the gum line where millions of bacteria like to hide! At Guildford Animal Hospital we perform anesthetics almost every day for pets ranging from a few months of age up to 19 years of age.
All of our dental procedures are performed by our Veterinarians and our Registered Veterinary Technicians.
All pets receive the following services during their dental procedures:
THAT IS COMPLETE, PROFESSIONAL DENTAL CARE!
TO ENSURE THAT WE DO THE BEST JOB POSSIBLE FOR EVERY PET WE HAVE ONE VETERINARIAN ASSIGNED TO DOING YOUR PET’S DENTAL FOR THE DAY AND WE NEVER BOOK MORE THAN THREE DENTAL CLEANINGS IN THE SAME DAY.
We use all of the safest drugs, protocols, monitoring equipment and always have at least one Veterinarian and one Registered Veterinary Technician per anesthetic procedure. For more information on our anesthetic protocols click here.
