At Guildford Animal Hospital your pet’s well-being and comfort are our top priority. To maintain a welcoming and secure environment, we’ve implemented a few important policies regarding safety and appointments.

Pet Safety Policy

To ensure the safety and comfort of all pets and people during visits to our office, we kindly ask that all pets be securely contained in a carrier or on a short leash. This helps us maintain a calm and controlled environment for everyone.

Late Appointment / Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, circumstances arise that require appointments to be canceled or rescheduled. To better serve all our clients and continue offering the highest quality care, we have the following policies in place. 

  • If you are 10 minutes late or less, to your scheduled appointment, your appointment time will be reduced to reflect the time remaining scheduled with our doctor. You may be asked to book a follow-up appointment at a later date if we do not have enough time to address all concerns.
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late or do not show up to your appointment, you will be subject to a failed appointment fee and will be asked to reschedule.

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling your appointment. Appointments canceled with less notice will be subject to a fee of $75.00.

Why We Charge a Late/Cancellation Fee:

  1. Appointment Slots Reserved Exclusively for You: When you book an appointment, we reserve time and resources specifically for your visit. Short-notice cancellations often leave us unable to offer that time to someone else who may need it.

  2. Team Availability: Our staff prepares in advance for each appointment, ensuring they are ready to provide the best care. Late cancellations or missed appointments result in unused staff time that could have been allocated to another patient.

  3. Client Wait Times: By minimizing last-minute cancellations, we can keep wait times shorter and ensure that everyone has timely access to our services.
